Senior Internal Auditor in Norfolk, VA

A large, growing healthcare organization is seeking a Senior Internal Auditor with a desire to succeed! The Senior Internal Auditor will audit financial and operational processes including IT in a multiple-entity environment. The senior internal auditor with review, analyze, and interpret financial and operational data; ensure compliance with all laws and regulations; evaluate business processes including write ups and communicating findings; assist with IT audits; participate in departmental and external training programs; and take full charge of multiple audit projects at all times. Travel to regional locations will be required. The Senior internal auditor must have a bachelors degree in Accounting or related position with a masters degree preferred; 4+ years of strong auditing and accounting background; CPA, CIA, or CISA certification is required; healthcare industry background and prior public accounting background is highly preferred; superior written and oral communication abilities including expertise to explain financial details to "non-accountants"; exceptional customer service focus; advanced computer expertise including Excel and the expertise to extract data from an ERP; strong research expertise; extreme attention to detail; and the desire to work in a fast-paced and deadline-driven environment.
